This series of in-house workshops are designed to provide executives and practitioners with an understanding of the power of using Earned Value as an effective control and monitoring technique to deliver added value and insight from their overall project control process. The approach adopted is to assume everyone uses some form of software for EV, therefore rote learning of the formulae is pointless. What’s needed is an appreciation of the terms used and the value of the information created by the tools. Workshops are available in half-day, one-day and two-day formats, either as virtual presentations (world-wide), or face-to-face in Australia.
At the end of the course, trainees will understand the power of using Earned Value as a practical control and monitoring technique designed to provide added value and insight to their overall project control process and appreciate the steps necessary to implement an effective EV system in their organization.

The Easy EVM Workbook is a simple spreadsheet that
performs the calculations needed to apply EVM to normal projects. It
is designed to process the data for a single update. After each
update is complete, you save a copy of the spreadsheet ready for the
next update and then edit / add the new information at the
appropriate time.

Earned Value Management - 1 day Intensive Workshop (6 Hrs.)
This intensive workshop is designed for business managers and
planners moving to introduce Earned Value Management (EVM) into
an organization. Using EVM techniques in a practical
business-oriented manner adds significant additional information
and power to the organization’s project control process. This
course outlines the techniques and processes needed to implement
EVM in an effective and practical manner. Target audience, staff
and managers implementing, or using EVM as a core component of
their organization’s project controls function.

Earned Value Management - 2 day in-house practical workshop: (Face-to-face only) Designed for people with limited Earned Value and scheduling training (eg staff in a new project office or in a business unit introducing project management for the first time). In addition to the 1 day intensive materials, the 2 days of tuition allows time to introduce trainees to the calculations, concepts and processes involved in developing an effective Earned Value control process. At its conclusion, trainees will have a solid grounding in the processes and benefits of effective Earned Value control processes.
This course works through the basic techniques and processes needed to implement EVM in an effective and practical manner. The course structure is based on the 1-Day outline above with additional time spent on the following aspects:

PMI PDUs. Attendees at Mosaic's project management
workshops earn 1 PDU per hour of teaching time (typically 6 PDUs
per day). The breakdown of PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle®
depends on the modules selected for inclusion in the course - the
PDUs to be earned are agreed during the course design phase and

AIPM CPD. Attendees at Mosaic's project management
workshops earn points based on the AIPM CPD points table current
at the date of the course, currently you earn 2 points per hour to
